District 54 Summer Band and Orchestra registration begins

Registration has begun for the District 54 Summer Band and Orchestra program. Any student who has played at least one year in the District 54 instrumental music program is eligible to enroll.

Summer Band and Orchestra will take place July 7- 24 (Monday-Thursdays) at Keller Junior High School, 820 Bode Road in Schaumburg. Registration forms are available from any instrumental music teacher or at http://www.sd54.org/instruct/finearts/instrmusic/summer.htm.

Students who have completed one year in the District 54 instrumental program can sign up for Intermediate Band or Intermediate Orchestra. Advanced Band and Advanced Orchestra are for students who have completed two or three years in the instrumental program (current sixth- and seventh-grade students).

The Jazz Band and Strolling Strings will also meet this summer for those students who were accepted into the Jazz Band or Strolling Strings ensembles, after an audition in April.
